Postcards that use flour to depict a sense of home and loss.

What happens when our relationship with our home becomes intensified through a dramatic reduction in the choice of where we spend time? The home may feel peaceful or fraught. At times it performs the sanctuary’s role; at others, it can be a place of tension and conflict. It permeates our identity, is carried around emotionally like a metaphorical snail’s shell. Lockdown shines a light on the relationship we have with home and other spaces, highlighting the sense of freedom we usually live, having places to go, a variety of environments in which to think, do and be.
